Fun at the fair for the ‘foodies’

Calling all food lovers! Feast on the new fair-food options at Capital EX!

EDMONTON, AB – As Edmonton’s premiere summer foodie destination, Capital EX is excited to present our fabulous fair food line-up that includes traditional favourites and adventurous offerings. Conquer your cravings with a variety of food items on the midway, international cuisine at The Grand and upscale options at Fusion 53 Lounge & Casino.

Bring your appetites to the midway and eat your way through Capital EX! Dare yourself to bite into the Cricket Pizza or the Grill Cheese Sandwich Burger or dine on Sheppard’s Pie Poutine and French Fried Wagon Wheels. If you have a sweet-tooth, indulge on the new Black Forest Apple Elephant Ear, Sweet Potato Chips Dipped in Cinnamon or purple candy apples. For the traditionalists, we haven’t forgotten fair favourites such as the corn-dog, mini donuts, cotton candy and more!

Also on the midway, Capital EX is thrilled to introduce Rib Fest! Relax and watch the excitement of Capital EX at our outdoor barbeque destination featuring five ribbers. Each ribber is competing for the title of ”People’s Choice” and is paired up with a local community organization. Capital EX is proud to pair our ribbers with Boys & Girls Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids Up Front, Junior Achievement, 4-H Alberta Foundation and the Edmonton Food Bank. So come on down to eat ribs guilt free, vote on your favourite ribber and support great causes!

There are also great dining options inside at The Grand. Sit and enjoy a cappuccino in Le Grand Café while snacking on this year’s Capital EX’s signature food item, the delectable Cream Puff – fixed just the way you like it with an array of tempting topping choices! Guests can also enjoy a large selection of international cuisine, healthy and gluten free dining options at Eat at the Grand presented by Now! Radio. With choices from the Ukraine, Greece, India and China, Eat at The Grand will appeal to all cravings and allow you to re-fuel for more excitement on the midway!

For guests interested in some upscale dining, check out Fusion 53 Lounge & Casino where the food doesn’t just taste great – it’s local!
