On July 22, 2010, an estimated 230,000 people lined the streets of downtown Edmonton as the Capital EX Parade worked its way through the streets of downtown Edmonton. This year’s Parade featured over 115 entries and included a number of dignitaries and military personnel.
The Honorary Grand Marshal was Olympic Gold Medalist Kevin Martin.

For decades Edmonton’s annual Capital EX Parade has captivated the imaginations of young and old. Bring your family and friends out to enjoy the pageantry and the pride of the floats, marching bands, horses, antique cars, mascots, clowns and the many new and exciting participants that join every year. This is a FREE summer event and includes over 100 entries, 14 award categories and over $16,000 in cash and prizes.
This is a great way for Edmonton and Alberta businesses, organizations, and individuals to showcase their community pride.
